Pizza With Ken & Jean
Jun 27, 2014
|Marilyn & I skipped our morning coffee here at the RV and drove into the Springs so Marilyn could weigh in at the “Weight Watcher” meeting place.
She did fine with her weight and remained below her goal weight.
Since we had not yet had our morning coffee, I drove to “Sheldon’s Luncheonette” where we enjoyed a delicious breakfast.
We are not “regulars” there but have been there often enough that the waitress enjoys giving us plenty of Sass, just like she gives to the regulars.
We enjoy eating there because of the delicious green sauce they serve on the huevos rancheros and on my favorite, “Jan’s Special”.
It takes two days to make a batch of that sauce and it seems to be a labor of love. We have to take our friends, Eddie & Jan, to this place for breakfast while they are here.
Marilyn & I had some time back at the RV before taking a shower and dressing to meet friends, Ken & Jean, at “Pizza Madness” in Canon City.
While we were at home I discovered that my Facebook account had been hacked. This is a hassle and I quickly changed my password. I certainly regret that there are morons and ne’er do wells who have nothing better to do with their time than to hack people’s computers or social media accounts.
I hope my dear friends aren’t included in the problems caused by these childish idiots.
We drove to Canon City and noticed heavy smoke in the mountains between Penrose and Canon City, due to a Wildfire along the Phantom Canyon Road.
We are keeping an eye on the news lest we have an evacuation order.
We sure enjoyed our time with Ken & Jean, getting caught up on events going on in our lives.
Ken & Jean are staying this week at the Royal Gorge Campground but will move to Mountaindale a week from Monday.
It has been a busy day for us and now we are back home relaxing.
Marilyn is outdoors reading her book, as I sit indoors working on this journal entry.
All in all, a pretty good day.
Life is Good!
