This morning I received a call from a nurse at Seton Hospital telling me that my surgery time had been moved up 30 minutes earlier than originally scheduled.
Then, this afternoon Dr. Geck’s nurse called to tell me that my surgery had to be rescheduled for a later date. He needed to do an emergency surgery for a woman in a different hospital. They will look at his schedule tomorrow afternoon and will let me know what my new surgery date is. I understand the need for the change but it does leave me feeling like I’m on a roller coaster.
Today a representative from Faith in Action Caregivers came to enroll me in their “Drive a Senior” program. It is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization formed for the purpose of providing transportation and other support for seniors. Since I already have so many helpful friends, I probably won’t need their help very often but it will be nice to have the option if I should need it. While he was here he did a little chore for me.
Today my MacBook Pro started acting strangely. The display alternately dimmed and brightened and the battery was fast losing its charge. I checked the connections to make sure I hadn’t accidentally loosened them. No problem there. I contacted Kyle of CMIT Solutions who sold me the computer. He asked some questions and finally determined that the AC adapter had failed. He brought me a new adapter, which solved the problem.
