Stopped for a couple of nights at Cochiti Lake campground in New Mexico. It's a nice Corps of Engineers campground, but might be a bit hot in summer. There really aren't any trees. Anyway, we had a good site with a view of the lake and the mountains and really enjoyed a relaxing day. We took a ride to the other side of the lake to look at another campground (ours was nicer) and crossed the Rio Grande - and it had WATER in it. The Spring run-off must be under way. We'd stop at this campground again in the Spring or Fall. It's open year round, but winter would be too cold and summer would be too hot.
