Today, Sunday, May 18, is our first day off in the past week so we had to do some sight seeing. We went to Patriots Landing, and boarded a ferry boat to Fort Sumter outside of Charleston harbor. This was the sight of the first shots fired beginning the American Civil War. Interesting history.

Then we rode back to Patriots Landing and boarded the aircraft carrier USS Yorktown. We walked through the massive interior of the ship and I walked the top flight deck. Took a few pictures of the planes.

Also on board the ship is the museum of the Metal of Honor recipients.

Had full day and ready to relax. We are back to work tomorrow.
