Lima is not the most beautiful city, but it does have a lot to offer; great architecture, good food, pisco sours and friendly people. Today we found a guide named Luis who took us on a tour of Santo Domingo, the main square in Lima and the mercado, where Noelle bought a pomegranate the size of a small cantaloupe. We also walked through China Town. Why is it that all the entrances to all the China Towns look the same? Same red pillars and green archway. Miraflores was beautiful and we will be spending the entire day there when we come back to Lima for our flight home. The Parque del Amor was a very lovely spot with many couples holding hands or sprawled out on the grass embracing. I wished my hubby was there with me at that moment. Back at the hotel we prepared for our flight the next day and overheard someone saying that 4 people in her party had all their belongings including passports stolen in a cab today. It does feel quite dangerous here. I am happy to be heading to Cuzco tomorrow.
