A Lazy day, followed by Rush, Rush, Rush. Sort of like the old “Hurry Up and Wait” routine from the Military days.
We drove to Palmyra early this morning, to meet our daughter, collect our granddaughter, and then drive her to school.
Then we had nearly three hours to wait, so we went to the local restaurant for breakfast.
One of the local guys sat at our table and chatted about the RV life.
He and his wife have spent lots of time at Buckhorn RV resort in Kerrville, Texas, and they know several of our friends, including Mike & Leslie.
We had time to read from our Kindle readers for awhile before school was out, then we drove back to Hannibal.
Lauren ate lunch and then took a nap.
We left again at 3:00 to take Lauren back to Palmyra to meet her Mommy. Then we returned to Hannibal where we grabbed a fast food dinner at a Subway.
Then we had to get ready for our third trip to Palmyra and back for the day.
Colby’s school class had a program this evening so we were soon headed back to Palmyra for that.
The program was fun, beginning in the gym where the kiddies held a square dance. Next we went to their classroom for a short skit, and finished up walking the halls to see the art work, etc.
I guess we could say that this has been a busy day.
I will post pictures once we have Wi-Fi service again.
Tomorrow I will be working in the Cave all day, leading tours for school kids.
For now we are settled down to watch American Idol and then it will be time to go off to bed to read for awhile.
Life is Good!
