A normal Tuesday began with coffee, a shower, clean clothing, and a drive to Palmyra to meet Jennifer and Lauren.
After taking Lauren to school, Marilyn & I drove to a restaurant for breakfast.
When we walked in, the restaurant was nearly full. The table just to the left of the door had seating for six people but only four guys sat there. Every one of them was an old friend of mine. We had all worked for the same company when I was flying and several had flown with me on different occasions.
We enjoyed our breakfast and the conversation, recalling old times and funny things which happened over the years.
Our long time friend, Harold, was greatly missed, but we talked fondly of this good man and his family.
When this fine group finally broke up and headed off for home, Marilyn & I drove to a store to pick up an item for each of the grandkids. Then I fueled the car before driving back to the school to pick up Lauren.
When she came out the door of the school, she spied me waiting for her, shouted “Papa!” and ran toward me, leaping up into my open arms. That sort of made my day!
Back at the Campground, I dropped off Marilyn and Lauren at the RV, then drove to the office.
I saw Julie, Linda and Gretchen, and was asked if I could help out tomorrow, with a late tour for school kids.
So that will be on my agenda for tomorrow in the late afternoon.
After picking up my work schedule for tomorrow, I drove into town to get a haircut, then to Walmart to pick up my prescription.
Finally, back at the RV I fixed a hot dog for a bite of lunch, and sat beside an open window relaxing while waiting for the time to drive back to Palmyra to drop Lauren off.
When we drove back to Palmyra we met Jennifer at Colby’s school, then after some visiting we said so long and drove back to Hannibal.
We stopped at a Subway sandwich shop to pick up a sandwich for our dinner.
We watched a little TV and look forward to a quiet evening.
