We managed to leave the RV Park in Carthage, MO, about five minutes before 8:00 this morning.
We stopped in Lebanon, Mo for fuel and arrived at the Mark Twain Cave & Campground right at 1:30 PM.
The stop in Lebanon triggered fond memories for us, as my Mom & Dad lived there for quite a number of years and we enjoyed many family gatherings there.
When we pulled into the campground here in Hannibal, we saw Gretchen standing outdoors waiting for us. We exchanged hugs and were soon assigned a Site, picked up the mail which was waiting for us, and had just backed into Site F-10 when we heard a horn honking and saw Jennifer and the grandkids coming down the road.
Many hugs and kisses were enjoyed and it didn’t take us long to finish the basic set up chores.
We played with the grandkids while visiting with Jennifer, then left for dinner at the “Golden Corral”, where we met our son-in-law, Steve.
We sure enjoyed the good food, along with the conversation, and walked away totally stuffed.
Marilyn & I were happy to get back to the RV where we immediately settled down to relax for awhile before heading off to bed for a good night of sleep.
We have no internet service but I’ll do the best I can to get this posted for you dear readers.
Tomorrow we are meeting Jen & Lauren early so that Lauren can spend the day with us.
