Ready For The Road
Mar 31, 2014
|Today was the day to finish getting things ready for the road.
Now everything is loaded, stored properly for travel, and both vehicles are fueled up and ready to go.
Marilyn has decided that she wants to drive her car and follow me down the highway. She will carry the bicycles on the back of her car.
With things ready to go, we checked out in advance. They will read our electric meter in the morning after we leave, and then send us a final amount via e-mail.
Marilyn & I decided to share one last meal of fried catfish so, once we had the work finished today, we drove to the Lake House for a late lunch/early dinner.
It was delicious as usual!
Back at the RV I almost made a decision to empty the holding tanks and roll up the sewer hose for stowing, but decided that this little chore can wait until morning.
We have enjoyed our month long stay here at Buckhorn Lake RV Resort. We had a good time with RV friends, rekindled some friendships, and made a few new ones.
We have been thinking about changing the dates for our travel, just a bit, by sliding the travel dates, while still spending the same amount of time with family back in Missouri.
I’ll write more about that later, once we have made a decision.
As for now, it is time to head for Missouri.
Kids and grandkids are waiting.
Life is Good!
