When we left this morning we weren't sure how far we'd get but thought we'd check places as we went. We looked at a couple but they weren't great and it was still early so we decided to keep going past Tamworth. Boy, the traffic sure changed once we hit the New England Hwy after the roads we've been on lately. Anyway we decided to look in to Moonbi Lookout and here we are for the night.
There is a huge bus rig here also, so for a change we are not on our own! We had a chat with the couple in the bus.
The view from the top of the rock here is great. It looks out over the western plains I suppose it is, west of the Great Dividing Range. It's getting pretty chilly now, late in the day, although it was hot when we arrived.
The toilets are long drops with no locks on the doors and no glass in the windows which are big and low so you have a good view both out and in but no one much is using them. They are also quite a climb down the hill or at least the men's is.
It got pretty cold overnight here. Down to 8.4 deg. We are pretty high in the Great Diividing Range here.
