A Dog Day
Mar 18, 2014
|This was a sad day for all who love pets, or who know Jesse & Ginger. Their faithful companion, “Buddy” passed away this morning.
I stuck with my plan to take care of Bayer while our friends drove to San Antonio today.
We walked several times but the thing Bayer liked the best was the treat he received when we went back inside.
I grilled chicken and put the last of my “Blues Hog” BBQ sauce on it during the last 10 minutes of cooking time.
Marilyn prepared mashed potatoes with bits of garlic and jalapenos in them, and mixed veggies in a butter sauce to go with the chicken. It was very tasty, and we were happy to be eating at home.
After lunch Marilyn sat outdoors reading from her Kindle.
I took a shower and put on cargo shorts and a T-shirt, then joined Bob & Janet, Jesse & Ginger, and Marilyn, sitting in the shade over at Bob’s Site.
We enjoyed the awesome weather and the conversation, then it was time for a bite of dinner.
Marilyn & I ate some leftovers then settled down to watch a movie.
I spoke on the phone to our friends, Ron & Verna, and we will meet with them for lunch on Thursday.
We are going to try once again, to have lunch at the Alamo Springs Café. Sure hope they are open because my reputation has had a few hits lately. LOL
So that is the way our day has gone and we want to wish you all a good night and leave you with a friendly reminder that Life is Good!
