Motor Home and Fifth Wheel in a Line

1326 Miles to OKC

To properly set the stage for this next post. I am not the driver of the RV. Robert does all the driving. It isn't that I can't drive a standard pickup, but Robert likes to drive and I would rather not drive a truck with a trailer. So we when lined the RV's up this morning and I sat behind the wheel of my parent's motorhome, it was the very first time I have driven a motorhome. We were about to set out on a journey of over 1300 miles. To say that I was nervous is an understatement.

It was easier than I thought. The truckers were kind to let us in on the highway and flashed their lights when we were past to let us know that we far enough ahead to merge back into the right lane. The motorhome is gasoline, so it doesn't have a lot of power on the hills. The big key is not to overcorrect. I made this mistake once and felt like I was going to tip over.
