Today I visited the Qutb Minar and the monuments around it. Built in Lalkot, the first of the seven cities of Delhi. The Qutb Minar stands at about 237.8 feet high and is made of red sandstone. Fun fact, did you know that it was struck by lightning twice in the same century? Once in 1326 and again in 1368, that’s only 42 years apart! Imagine not once, but twice, in your life time the Statue of Liberty getting struck and damaged by something said to be hotter than the surface of the sun!
