Drinks with Peter and Sandra at Camping Orbitur Gala

We had a leisurely morning on Saturday and left Guincho at mid-day as it started to rain, but we soon left that behind and travelled north in sunshine. The motorway travel was expensive – 3 tolls totalled €27.40. We arrived at Camping Orbitur Gala (N40°7'6" W8°51'24") south of Figueria da Foz mid-afternoon. The camp charge was €18 per night (ACSI) with free WiFi near reception. We checked in behind English couple Peter and Sandra from Warrington in their flash Burstner motorhome and we accepted their invitation for a drink in the sun once we’d both set up.

Today was a nice sunny day and after we’d done the washing – (€4.60 for a very small load which took almost two hours!) we went for a walk along the beach and back through the village, stopping for icecreams on the way. We met Peter and Sandra for drinks again before the sun disappeared and they kindly gave us some good tips for our travels back to the UK.
