Stonehendge back in American Fork

Today, on recommendation from the bartender, we drove the Alpine Loop around Mt. Timpanogos. The drive was in the mountains, but mostly with views of higher peaks around us as we drove in the canyons.

We stopped by Robert Redford’s place, Sundance and walked around the gardens (hoping to see him of course).

Farther along on the drive we came across a lovely nature walk with cascading pools. We were serenaded by a Cedar Waxwing who was quite handsome with his rakish black mask. (I had to look him up when I got home).

The mountains peaks were beautiful, and there was the lovely alpine lake with a sandy beach. Anyone coming to this area must do this drive, it is amazing.

On the way back through town, we saw a Stonehenge in the city of American Fork, which I found out later is an elder care facility. The sculpture of the stones out front was pretty cool.
