Mike & Sandy Arrive
Feb 15, 2014
|Marilyn & I drove in the truck, to pick up our rental car.
The Enterprise Rental Car place is just a couple of miles away, in Mercedes, and they had a nice Dodge Journey waiting for us.
Ford is paying the bill, so all is well.
Marilyn drove the rental car back to the resort, where I joined her again.
We left the truck parked and drove the rental to the Don-Wes Flea Market.
Marilyn shopped for several items she wanted and I picked up a new outdoor carpet to use in Missouri and in Colorado.
Back at the RV we relaxed for awhile. Marilyn fixed some lunch and did a load of laundry, while I completed a little project for some friends.
Heinz stopped by and I walked back to his Site with a bottle of Rum. He had a lime and some Coke, so we sat in the shade with a Cuba Libre and swapped tales for while.
Irene joined us for awhile before I headed back home.
I stopped by Pete & Cathy’s place and was introduced to at least five new folks who have recently arrived here, one couple from Topeka, Kansas, where I spent some years in the US Air Force at Forbes Air Force Base.
When I walked back home, Marilyn had moved inside from her lounge chair and continued to enjoy her book.
Mike & Sandy arrived a few minutes before 5:00 PM and we drove up to meet them and escort them to their Site, which is three rows in front of us.
We picked them up around 5:45 and drove them around the resort, giving them a quick tour, explaining what the different buildings are, etc.
Then we drove over to Fat Daddy’s for dinner. The place was packed but we found a table which needed a minimum of clearing and sat down.
The food was fine and we arrived back at home a few minutes before 8:00 PM.
We left Mike & Sandy to get some rest, as they usually don’t get out of bed much before noon, and tomorrow we will pick them up at 8:00 for a drive to the Basilica for the Mariachi Mass.
Mike may be in his PJ’s but he is going! LOL
We look forward to some serious fun with these friends while they are here.
Life is Good!
