|We had hopes of being able to pick up Marilyn’s car this afternoon, but that didn’t work out.
Evidently they pinched a seal while putting things back together.
The result is that they must get another seal and put it together again.
In the meantime, they have arranged for a rental car for us, paid for by Ford. We can pick up the rental car tomorrow morning, and hopefully, we can pick up Marilyn’s car on Monday afternoon.
Today was Bob’s birthday so we helped him celebrate by meeting with the entire group of Misfits plus Heinz & Irene, and Ron & Verna.
All fourteen of us met at a place called the Riverside, a nice restaurant with live country music, sitting right on the bank of the Rio Grande River.
Most of us took advantage of the Fish Fry and ordered the Catfish dinner, which was delicious.
We all sat together under the roof of a palapa, with music, and a gentle breeze. The good food, once it was served, was tasty and the cold beer was refreshing on this 85 degree day.
Jesse & Ginger arrived with Bob & Janet, Chuck & Coletta rode with Mike & Marian, while Ron & Verna drove with Heinz & Irene and Marilyn & I as passengers.
We parted with hugs in the parking lot and arrived back at the RV around 3:30.
We immediately turned on the A/C to cool things off, then sat in the comfort of our recliners, just relaxing.
Marilyn did take quite a few pictures today and I will share them with you dear readers.
We did speak on the phone with our friends, Mike & Sandy, who will arrive here at Llano Grande tomorrow afternoon.
Life is Good!
