Super Bowl Sunday
Feb 2, 2014
|It doesn’t happen to us very often but Marilyn & I slept in this morning, until 8:00 AM. It was nearly 70 degrees outdoors so we sat together outside with our coffee. The parrots passed over several times, squawking loudly.
With the coffee finished off, we completed a few chores, then drove to the Farmer’s Market.
We purchased oranges, grapefruit, and fresh pineapple. All of it tastes yummy!
It was nearly noon when we returned to the RV so I soon had a nice batch of oyster stew on the induction cooker.
Marilyn ate a few oysters raw, on crackers, and I saved enough for a second batch of oyster stew, maybe for tonight.
Lunch was delicious!
The afternoon sort of dragged by as we waited for the Super Bowl to start.
Around 3:00 in the afternoon, the wind picked up and changed directions, to come out of the north, as a cold front moved through.
No problem for us as we sat with the windows open, enjoying the sound of the wind in the palm trees.
The temperature dropped from the upper 70’s down to the upper 50’s as game time approached.
Now it is time for me to put this away. Maybe I’ll post the blog at half-time but for now I’ll call it done.
Tomorrow we have a plan to make a trip over to Mexico with friends, so I’ll write about that and maybe Marilyn will get more of her great pictures to share with you dear readers.
I’ll quit with a gentle reminder that Life is Good!
