Spring, where are you??
Jan 19, 2014
|I'm looking for my usual Florida winter. Where are you and when are you coming back?
Yesterday was a jammie day with the fireplace on all day for me.
Jackie walked later than usual, but he was wrapped up like he was in North Dakota with his warm-ups and hoodie on.
We watched the Razorbacks play and several other games.
When we went to bed last night it was 39 degrees.....again!!!!
This morning it was 33 degrees and Jackie had to get ice off the windshield. It did get up to 68 degrees this afternoon, but that was the normal low temperatre last year. I'm beginning to think that there are so many snowbirds coming down, that they are bringing all this cold with them.
We rode to church with Chuck & Sheila this morning. I really look forward to our services there.
After church we went on to Auburndale and had lunch at Chili's. I had the Cajun Chicken Pasta, and Jackie had the Grilled Chicken Salad on the 2 for $20.00 menu. Chuck & Sheila both had the 6 oz. Steak Dinner. Everything was delicious and Sheila and I both brought food home.
After we got home, Jackie changed clothes and went to take a short walk. It turned out to be very short. About 10 minutes after he left it started to rain, so he had to make a fast trip back home. Five minutes later the sun was shining again. But by then he was out of the mood, so we settled in and watched the Lady Razorbacks play basketball and win.
Later he decided to make a run to the grocery store and I stayed home to work on my crocheting.
After the groceries were put away, we had a light supper and watched the Seattle/San Francisco football game on TV.
Today is my dear brother's birthday. He is now 89 years old. He is a World War 2 veteran and I am very proud of him. He has been my hero all my life. Happy Birthday, Eulus!!!!
Try to say a prayer for all our veterans past and present. They all need our prayers.
Until next time.....God Bless you all.....
