Taylor's Travel Tales etc. travel blog

Golly, it got cold last night. Our heat pumps ran all night and the furnace came on several times early this morning. I guess you can tell I didn't sleep well at all. It was 34 degrees at 8:00 this morning and I think the high this afternoon was 60.

Jackie walked from 10:00 until 12:30 and with the sun shining he said it wasn't so bad.

I had leftovers from our dinner at Lake Alfred Diner, so I didn't venture out until time to go to the rec hall and play Fast Track.

We had two full tables of eight players playing Fast Track. There was also a full table playing poker, and 2 full tables playing hand and foot. We counted that to be 36 people. We were all relegated to the back of the room and told that we would have to be quiet as a movie was going to be shown up front. There were about 15 people that showed up for the movie and they turned the volume up so loud that it jarred the windows.

I guess we won't be playing games on Friday nights when they are showing a movie.

Our friend John had his bypass surgery this morning. The last report we had he was doing well in ICU. He had 3 bypasses and the doctors found a valve that needed to be repaired, so they did that too.

Until next time....God Bless you all....
