Homer at Camping Reina Isabel

Confusing signs at the entrance to a park in La Zubia

On Saturday we left late morning and drove the three hours to Granada. It was once again a scenic drive on motorway most of the way, although it was a cloudy day and threatened to rain a couple of times. We arrived at Camping Reina Isabel (N 37° 07' 28" W 3° 35' 12") in La Zubia, a village to the south of Granada.

We like this campsite; it’s reasonably small but not very busy. The reception staff are very helpful, everything we need is nearby and the bathrooms are heated (yes it is quite cold, about 8°C). Yesterday was a beautiful day and we took a leisurely walk to explore the nearby village of La Zubia.

Today we had intended to find our way by bus to the Alhambra, but it started to rain so we changed our minds and had an indoor day, apart from a 10 minute walk there and back to the supermarket/shopping mall.
