Setting For New Years Eve

At The Resort

What a fine birthday this was!

I received so many calls, messages, e-mails and cards. It was wonderful!

It all began at 7:30 this morning when our daughter called and the grandkids joined her in wishing me a Happy Birthday. That sure started my day in a fine fashion.

Chuck & Coletta were unable to go along so Marilyn & I took Ron & Verna with us and joined Mike & Marian, along with Jesse & Ginger at “Hayashi Hibachi.” A Japanese Steak House in McAllen, for a fine lunch.

We certainly enjoyed the company and the show, not to mention the great food.

Mike & Marian, with Jesse & Ginger brought a Birthday Cake and a card with three “scratch off” lottery tickets inside.

One of the tickets was a $40 winner!

The birthday just kept getting better and better. LOL

Most of the rain had stopped by the time we headed back home, but a fine mist remained in the air along with the cool temps.

That made the fireplace feel really nice once we were back in our little rolling condo.

Our friends, Bob & Janet, aka “Running Bare” and “Shots”, will be arriving on Friday of this week, so the other members of “The Misfits” will be gathering at a Welcome Dinner, at the home of Mike & Marian (The Enforcer and Saucy).

That will be fun, as these dear friends continue to provide material for my story of the cruise.

Don’t worry, I may make it available to you once the cruise is over. Then again, maybe not! LOL

Back at the resort today we showed Ron & Verna some of the amenities here and Marilyn snapped a couple of pictures of the setting for the New Years Eve Dinner and Dance.

We are staying in where it is peaceful and quiet.

Next Saturday we are taking Ron & Verna over to Mexico.

They are beginning to get a feel for where things are located here and will feel right at home in no time at all.

So that is the way it is going here in the valley on New Years Eve.

Sure makes it easy to say that Life is Good!
