The sound of rain on the roof greeted us this morning. It may have rained all night. I don’t know for sure, but it sure was wet today.
The 70 degree temperature we experienced yesterday slowly sagged to 52 degrees when we awoke this morning, then continued to fall slowly, to 44 degrees shortly after 12:00 noon.
The forecast informs us that it will be Thursday or Friday before it gets comfortable again.
We did our chores and I took a shower, before dressing to go out.
We went to the AT&T store and then on to HEB grocery.
Back at the RV, Marilyn busied herself making a pasta dish for tomorrow. I called Sherry, a long time friend who lives in San Antonio. It was nice to have a long visit on the phone with this good friend.
When the pasta was done we ate a bit of it for lunch but alas, had to save the remainder for a carry-in dinner tomorrow evening.
I had some thoughts about the rainy weather we have been experiencing this winter, here in the valley.
Most winters we have stayed quite busy with all sorts of activities, nearly all of them being outdoor events like bike rides, walking through the wildlife preserves, bird sanctuaries, the zoo, flea markets, time on the beach, visits to Mexico, etc, etc.
While we have done a few of those things this winter, we have spent a lot of time indoors because of the wet and sometimes cool, even chilly, weather.
We still look forward to lots of fun as the weather changes for the better.
In the afternoon today, we waited for a phone call from Ron & Verna, who were on the road to Llano Grande Resort.
We hated it that the weather was so wet, but determined that we would still be able to show them around before we left for the cruise. We want them to become familiar with the great things to do here, before we go off and leave them on their own.
These good folks arrived around 2:00 and we went up to the registration office to meet them, then showed them to their site.
Once they were finished with the basics of connecting to the utilities, we showed them around the resort, then drove over to Fat Daddy’s for a bite to eat.
We have plans for tomorrow but that is the subject for another blog, like the one I’ll write tomorrow.
Life is Good!
