We all had a wonderful time at the Christmas Party today. Our Activity Directors arranged to have soup served to the crowd and the rest of us brought either a salad or dessert. There was certainly enough to go around.

We had entertainment too! First, Penny did a tap dance routine to Jingle Bells. Then Karen Timko and Lee Clement (alias Mrs. and Mr. Santa Claus) did a really funny skit. Santa was trying to leave for his yearly toy delivery on Christmas and Mrs. Claus was so upset with him that he almost didn't get to delivery his gifts. They worked it all out in the end!

We were then entertained by the music of Pat and Bud Becker. Followed by Darlene Peters singing "Oh, Come All Ye Faithful". The finale was Karen Timko singing "Oh Holy Night."

A great job was done by all and was much appreciated by the crowd!

Next on the agenda was the soup, salad and dessert potluck. As you can see, we didn't lack for salads or desserts!

Then it was time for the gifts to be handed out to those who decided to participate in it. Lee got a big box of wine and I received some lotion and soap. Donna was the very last person to receive a gift and by then most people had left the party because the candlelight church service started at 7 PM.

We were planning on attending the service at St. Mark's at 5 PM but we were so pooped by the time we left the party that we sat around and relaxed a little and then attended the church service in the hall. There was an enormous crowd there - probably more than would have been at church and so the candlelight service was really very nice.
