Rita Huether coordinated a Wreath Making Class on December 11th. There were three different types of wreaths to make. There was one that used a foam core center. Two people did that one and it took about three times as long as the rest of them. Most people chose to do the all ornament wreath which took over 60 ornaments and had no backing. I was concerned about storing it because the Christmas ornaments break so easily. I chose to do the wreath that started with a prelit artificial evergreen wreath. It was probably the easiest to do but Lee liked the looks of the evergreen better and I liked the fact that I could light it. I was about the first one done in class but I enjoyed watching the other people and taking pictures of the finished products.
We hung my wreath on our mirror inside the doorway and we both like it a lot. Since I made it purple and silver I felt required to change our tree out to be silver and purple also so the wreath project cost about $50 but I think it was worth it!
