We enjoyed Doc’s Country Store so much, I did a bit of research to find out more about this awesome store located in Opp, Alabama.

The small town of Opp was named after a German lawyer who worked for the Louisville and Nashville Railroad. When the railroad came to the area in 1901, Opp was known as "The City of Opportunity".

Opp isn't very large, but located on Veteran's Parkway, it is home to Doc's Country Store. The store is a wonderful way to experience the past. As you step through the swinging wood doors, you're immediately transported to days gone by. Jerry and I both enjoyed this store and museum immensely. I hope you enjoy all the pictures from the store. I will do another update to show the museum pictures as well.
