We settle the car and wait for these gentle giants to make...

Beautiful yellow-bills showing us their pink underfeathers as they dry off

So this is where the bee-eaters hang out during the day!

Hello little fella!

Oh, wow!

Sensational zebras!

Aren't they beautiful?

Great lunch spot

Some cute wartys check us out

Back in camp, ready for sundowners

What a fabulous day - again! Selous is such a different experience, even with similar animals. Elephants, giraffe, impala, zebra, wildebeest and other animal groups all mixed together in an open space.

Very different vegetation and topography here, forested riverbanks (very Garden of Eden) rather than open plain.

On return an early shower for sundowners, hippo watching from the cliff top and sunset that is reputed to be spectacular from the lodge looking down the river (it was).
