Taylor's Travel Tales etc. travel blog

Jackie and I both slept in this morning. We knew the temperature was in the 30's because our furnace came on. The heat pumps keep us warm and toasty inside the coach, but if the outside temp reaches the 30's, the propane furnace comes on and warms the basement of the coach to keep the plumbing from freezing. I looked and the temperature was 37 degrees, and that was at 9:15am, so I'm sure it was colder than that earlier.

We had breakfast and Jackie bundled up and left for his walk. I hope he doesn't catch a cold by getting out in these cold temps. I can't wait to get to Haines City. The low there last night was 68 degrees.

We had lunch with Jackie's nephew and his wife at Dixie Café at 1:30. We hadn't seen them since last year, so we had lots of catching up to do. They are such sweet kids and we always have such a good time with them. And of course the food was delicious too.

After leaving there we stopped at the bank and then drove to Pottsville to visit some more kinfolk. Jackie's cousins, Kenneth & Wanda were surprised to see us. We hadn't seen them for a couple of years. They have been married for 66 years and both have had some serious health problems this year. It was good to spend some time with them.

We then stopped at Kroger's and picked up a few items and headed back to the lake.

We finished off the day with a few snacks, some basketball on TV, and a game of Manipulation which I won quite handily. I promised him I wouldn't brag about it, but lets just say I didn't score a point the whole game.......Not bragging, just stating the facts!!!!!

Now it's time to get some sleep.

Until next time....God Bless you all....
