Ed & Marilyn 'The Happy Wanderers' travel blog

With the “American Queen” paddlewheel boat in port today, here in Hannibal, so our day was going to be a bit different.

When the tourists from the steamboat are here they bus them to the cave for tours at irregular times.

I was asked to be ready for tours beginning at 8:30 AM.

Marilyn drove to meet our daughter and pick up our granddaughter, then stopped at Walmart on the way home. She and Lauren shopped for a bit and picked up a prescription for me.

I walked to work a bit early so that I could unlock the cave entrances and get the lights on inside the cave.

The 9:30 tour group included our neighbors, Richard, Kathy and Jeanette, and I think everyone enjoyed the tour.

I encouraged our new friends to drive into town to get a look at the American Queen. That is one impressive boat!

Marilyn & I had to waken Lauren from her nap, once again.

We hate to do that because she sleeps so well. She does wake up in a good mood though and is just a blessing to us.

We stopped at “Subway” to grab a sandwich on the way home, then relaxed to spend a quiet evening together, with no agenda.

We need to get busy and take some pictures to post for you folks.

It has been quite some time since we posted pictures on the journal.

Don’t worry folks, I have severely chastised my photographer and she has promised that she will get some photos taken as soon as she is ready. LOL

So I’ll call it a day and put this away.

Yep, another good day has faded away.

Life is Good!
