Niagara River

American Falls

Horseshoe Falls

Horseshoe Falls up close.

The water flows up to the edge...

... and over the falls!

It's about 170-180 feet down to the bottom of the falls.

Me too!

The mist created by the falls.

About every 10 minutes the lights changed color on the falls.

Oooo, pretty.

After the Erie Canal Cruise, we drove up to Niagara Falls for the rest of the day. The falls were beautiful! It's difficult to capture the sense of the massive volume of water that flows down river and over the falls without seeing it in person. What a sight! We stayed in the area all afternoon and waited for the sun to set. At 8:30 p.m. a building on the Canada side of the river projected colored lights onto the falls. Very nice.
