|After a good sleep in Cadouin, no sailing to keep us up, we rode a whole twelve klms today but the ups and downs of it took quite some time. Very pleasant, sunny, quiet, no map checking, no cars and green as green can be.
Arrived in Belves, yet another stunningly pretty medieval town from around the 11 th century, they just keep coming! Too pretty to pass through and a train station nearby, so found a nice room and a beer and took the afternoon off.
The weather is heating up and more to come they say.
Monday morning we trained it to Toulouse and found the Canal du midi quite easily, even though the water is apparently dirty and full of rats, it is a lovely green colour and the huge plane trees creating an avenue all the way along are a blessing for shade and add to the prettiness. We only biked about 40 klms but had a head wind and it was warm so staggered into a wee town about five exhausted.
Due to lack of Internet we may take the night of the sailing, the agony is becoming too much.
Hope you are all happy and well, Bon soir from us today xxx
