Journal or Blog?
Sep 16, 2013
|Sometimes I just draw a blank when I sit down to write this journal. When you think about it, if it is indeed a journal then all I have to do is write down what we did on that particular day.
A “blog” should be more than that I think, and I try to write about plans for the future, thoughts about life, places we visit, things to see and do, etc, etc.
There are times when I have to go back to relating the events of that day. Sometimes they are important because of the people involved, or because we were doing something special.
Sometimes I think it is meaningful to relate details about a particular place where the information may be important to someone else.
There are times, too, when I simply want to relate the events of the day in the hopes that our grandchildren may someday read it and find it interesting to know what their grandparents were doing on that date in history.
We had the pleasure of our granddaughter’s company today.
When I walked to work this morning, Marilyn and Lauren walked with me. I ended up buying a toy for each of the grandkids.
Lauren slept so well when she took her nap, that we had to wake her when it was time to go meet her mother who was getting off work.
We took Lauren to meet up with her Mom, said "Bye" with hugs and a kiss, and headed back home.
We stopped to pick up some fried chicken and ate that, along with some leftovers from the cookout yesterday, for our dinner.
Then we settled down for the evening to watch some TV.
We were both tired today so we are looking forward to a good night of sleep and a fun day tomorrow.
So, in spite of the fact that I don’t have much to write about today, I’ll just leave you with the thought that Life is Good!
