Hotel Metropole Monaco, 9 course discovery tasting menu, Anniversary Dinner

Bonjour!

Today we decided to sleep in and didn't make it back to the market as originally planned. We started our day off around 2:30pm local time once again on the Promenade de Anglis with lunch at the Hyatt on The Terrace.

We decided to then explore the area once again and had a snack of tea and lemon meringue tarts. We felt it would be best if we changed for dinner before heading to Monaco. So while waiting we had an impromptu photo op

Some background on Monaco, it is a completely different country than France, and it is a hour from Venice where we are staying. However there wasn't any passport or documentation required for entry, we just paid a crap load of tolls along the way.

When we arrived in Monaco we had 8 minutes to spare before our dinner reservations so what did we do? We did what any tourist would do lol, took a picture in front of the Monte Carlo

Dinner was at 9:30pm at the Hotel Metropole. We decided to live a little and partake in the Nine course dinner discovery menu and boy did it not disappoint.

Our first course was a Gazpacho followed with French green bean dish with caviar. Our third course was a lobster dish, fourth foie gras (duck liver), fifth octopus and artichoke dish, six was with prosciutto, seventh lamb chops, eighth a lemon sorbet (not posted to cleanse our pallets and ninth strawberry sorbet dessert with fresh strawberries and dark chocolate cookie. Dinner was absolutely delicious. They gave us a lemon loaf to take home as a thank you gift. We then headed to the casino to try our luck. Unfortunately we were not extremely lucky, we did have fun. We made it back to Vence around 3:00am local time. Another early morning. Cannes is up next!
