Busy beaver has been here

To get back to the monument we decided to take a different route. We took the Kolob Terrace Rd off Hwy 9 near Virgin. It was 20 miles of well maintained dirt road over the mountains to Kolob Reservoir. We made a stop along the way to check out the Lava Point Overlook. From there we had a nice view of the Edge of the Plateau looking back at Zion. As we continued up the mountain towards Kolob Reservoir, the terrain and mountain formations kept changing. This area will be beautiful in the fall.
