We knew that we would have to say “So Long” to Mike & Marian this morning. With that in mind we were up early, sipping our coffee and keeping an eye open for our friends to begin the “Day of Departure” chores.
We had agreed last night that we would follow our friends as far as Penrose where we would have breakfast together at “Michelle’s”.
It would have been great to have Jesse & Ginger along but they were working.
As soon as breakfast was over, Mike & Marian hit the road.
Of course the hugs and wishes for safe travel were shared before they left the parking lot.
Marilyn & I drove on to Canon City to pick up a few items we needed as we begin our own preparations for travel.
When we arrived back at the resort, I chatted with Jesse & Ginger, then decided to ride with Jesse to pick up a flatbed trailer used here. It was at a repair shop near the Canon City airport.
I always enjoy time spent in the company of Jesse and today was no exception.
It was after lunch time when we made it back home.
Jesse came by later in the afternoon, gave me a list of 12v LED bulbs we could use in the RV. He also downloaded some software for me and then showed me how to use it.
Marilyn walked down to the office to call Jennifer while I was busy, so I get my turn to talk with our daughter tomorrow.
Marilyn & I fixed a quick and easy dinner and then sat down to relax and watch some TV.
So, the size of our little gang continues to grow smaller.
For now we’ll call it a day.
Life is Good!
