We said “so long” to our friends, Eddie & Jan, this morning.
They were moving to the Durango, Colorado area and we were sad to see them leave. We sure enjoyed our time with these good folks, and look forward to seeing them again somewhere down the road.
Once our friends pulled out of the campground here, Marilyn & I got busy doing the normal morning chores.
We were soon headed into town, riding with Mike & Marian, to attend Mass.
It was after the noon hour by the time we made a stop at Walmart, to pick up some supplies.
Finally we headed home but didn’t make it very far before we stopped in our tracks with traffic backed up for a mile or more.
Evidently a truck filled with small rocks had tipped over spilling the entire load across Hwy 115.
We were motionless for 30 minutes before we began moving, quite slowly. Once we passed the problem area we picked up speed and soon were back to normal, arriving at the resort about the time we planned to call our daughter, Jennifer.
We quickly grabbed a ham sandwich for nourishment, then walked to the office, called our daughter, and chatted for awhile.
It was good to finally get back to our RV and changed into comfy clothing.
Now we are relaxing and plan a quiet evening together.
Maybe a movie and some popcorn are in order.
