Fun With Ed & Jan
Aug 14, 2013
|Today we looked forward to an adventure with Eddie & Jan, neighbors here in a motor home. They are from Waco, Texas, and we have enjoyed spending time with them.
They are leaving tomorrow so we were determined to enjoy the day today.
We all left the resort around 11:00 this morning, drove into town and went directly to “Culpepper’s Cajun Kitchen” for some good Cajun food.
All of the food was delicious but the Catfish, Alligator Bits, Crab Balls, and Shrimp were huge hits!
Once our lunch was finished off, we took off to show our friends some of the beauty as seen from the “Gold Camp Road”.
We do have a few pictures to share with you.
We arrived back at the resort in the middle of the afternoon, and then sat in the comfort and shelter of the screened room, with a cold drink, and the company of Ed & Jan.
The conversation never waned and we enjoyed every minute of our time with these fine folks.
Jan had just brought out some delicious snacks when we heard the thunder and the little “plop, plop” sounds of rain as it began to sprinkle on the canvas roof of the screened room.
The thunder became louder and we all knew it was time to run for the shelter of our RV’s.
We certainly plan to be up and out tomorrow morning, in time to say “So Long” to Ed & Jan. We hope to see them again, maybe in the RGV during this next winter.
As for the remainder of the day tomorrow, we do have some plans with our friends Mike & Marian.
The Good Times just keep rolling on!
Life is Good!
