|The RV park we're staying in is about 12 miles from Zion National Park. They have a shuttle that takes you to the park's visitor center at 9:00 am and brings you back at 3:00, so we did that.
Once you're inside the park, they have shuttles that take you all over the place. We did the River Walk trail which was a very easy, 2.2 mile walk. Then we went to the Zion Lodge where we met up with my cousin Elsa and her family. They got here on the 3rd and left this afternoon for Bryce. I was so glad we hooked up; Dave has never met the kids and it's been 8 years since he's seen Elsa and 17 since he's seen Paul.
After parting ways, Dave and I went to the Zion Human History Museum to watch the film. We were back at the parking lot at 2:45 for the shuttle back to the RV park. We took nice cool, big vodka tonics and our Sudoku books down to the river at the RV park. We sat down there for a couple of hours, it was so nice. We watched the kids playing in the river and listened to lots of distant thunder. We even had a few sprinkles but it felt good.
