Angela Being Rebellious at Stop in Shoal Lake

The recommended route for today was to head South on Highway 41 for 17 km, then East on Highway 42 for 58 km to Shoal Lake in order to avoid the traffic on the Trans-Canada Highway (Highway 16), which has no shoulder on that section. Most of us elected to go Southeast on Highway 16 nevertheless, saving us 17 km in the process. There was little traffic at that time in the morning.

The ride was uneventful. We left Binscarth at 7:00 am, stopped at a gas station in Shoal Lake for ice cream and snacks, then continued on Highway 16 to Minnedosa, where we will be camping for the night. The scenery was a continuation of what we have been seeing in the Prairies, so I took no pictures of it. We arrived at 1:00 pm.

Dinner tonight was Israeli couscous salad with pan-fried marinated chicken. Dessert was cinnamon buns.
