Ed & Marilyn 'The Happy Wanderers' travel blog

The big event of our day was in the afternoon, but I’ll get to that in a moment.

It was another awesome morning with clear, deep blue sky, cool temperatures (55 degrees) and a very light breeze.

We sipped our coffee from the comfort of our lounge chairs in the screened room.

With a few chores completed, I lit the grill to grill two boneless pork loins, one finished with a peach and jalapeno jelly brushed on, and the other with Blues Hog BBQ Sauce.

Both loins turned out to be delicious. We tasted them just to make sure they were ok, but saved them for dinner. LOL

Needing haircuts, Marilyn & I drove into town to “Great Clips“, where we waited only 5 minutes or so for our turn in the barber’s chair.

Once our haircuts were finished we walked a short distance to the “China Wok” for a delicious lunch.

We spent a little time at a shopping center where Marilyn found a pitcher she wanted.

Then we drove over to a theater complex where we met Mike & Marian and Jesse & Ginger. We all wanted to see the movie, “The Heat”, which was absolutely hilarious! There is quite a bit of foul language but that is certainly overpowered by the comedy and hilarity of the film. I laughed until I had tears running down my cheeks. I think we all agreed that it was one of the funniest films we have ever seen.

When we left the theater, it was pouring rain so we waited for it to let up a bit, then Mike & I went to get the cars, and returned to the resort in steady rain.

I noticed that the outdoor temperature was only 59 degrees as we arrived at home.

It was another fine day here in Colorado and we have enjoyed the time we shared with each other and with friends.

Life is Good!
