Dance troupe

Market scene

Montpellier tram

The 33rd annual dance festival is on in Montpellier at the moment and Gina was keen to go to some performances. Unfortunately, everything was booked out while we are here, however, there were some free performances and we went to one today. We took one of the trams on the excellent tram system away from the centre of town. This was interesting in itself as we say more of the city other than the more tourest orientated centre.

The performance was in a small square in which there was also a market so we picked up on that as well.

The dance was modern in style , performed by 4 female and 4 male dancers and lasted about 30 minutes. We both enjoyed the spectacle.

We then met Pete at the station in mid afternoon and Em and Jacky later on. The five of us have just got back from a meal in the old town and a wander through the streets and laneways. It's after midnight and still comfortable in a T shirt.

I was looking for some wine in the liquor section of the supermarket today and couldn't find a Coonawarra shiraz anywhere, just all this French stuff - oh well, I guess we'll have to put up with that!!!!

Picked up the hire car this afternoon and tomorrow we head off to the first chateau, should be interesting to see what Pete and his mate have set up.

Le Tour has started but you wouldn't know it here, very low key. I hope it picks up as it gets closer to us.

Must go, it's late.
