After another 'loud' evening with the alcohol flowing freely in the campgrounds, we packed up the 550 and headed south. What we weren't expecting was to drive down the Mulsanne straight 18 hrs after the race had finished! We joined at the start and went through both chicanes before turning left at the Mulsanne corner.

We then headed down to the Millau suspension bridge in true Top Gear style. We stopped at the visitor center and had a walk up to the viewing point and then proceed to stop traffic on the narrow single lane out of the center as Ash wanted to get a few pictures with the car in them.

The stop for the night was Montpellier which turned out to be much more cosmopolitan than I had expected. Finding the hotel took a bit of doing, which was somewhat stressful at rush hour with the locals zipping past on each side on their scooters. They come past with millimeters to spare and cut into gaps that don't, which took a few years off my life! We eventually found the hotel and parked in Fort Knox so at least the car was secure.
