|To all the fathers who may be reading this today. Happy Father's Day! To all the father's of girls...you are your daughter's first love and it never goes away.
My father was my hero standing 10 feet tall and always there for me. He loved me with his whole being, he shared in my happiness and cried with me when I was hurt. He read to me at bedtime, he gave me a spanking when I was bad, (in those days we got our butt slapped when we were bad now it would be something to call the police on) and he supported my decisions whether right or wrong. One big lesson he taught me....always listen to your "gut", it seldom does you wrong. My husband has many of his qualities...how lucky I am. Daddy, I am sending you a hug and will see you when it is my turn to go to heaven. I really miss him.
We picked up my new computer today. It has Windows 8 and I was pretty nervous about that but Kelly & Alex have one so he showed me the ropes. I think I am going to be fine with it. Then, we went to Costco to pick up things for dinner...did some Costco grazing, love the free food samples. After that, we went to Menchie's, a frozen yogurt place where you fill up a cup with several different choices of flavors, then top it with tons of neat stuff and finish off with Hot Fudge (have to capitalize it cause I love it) and marshmallow...yes, they had other choices but this was mine. Came home, munched till dinner. Alex made Coca Cola ribs and OMG, they were to die for. Yes, we did eat all day...terrible...hehehe.
Kelly & Alex gave John an "It's 5 o'clock somewhere" tee shirt and some dachshund corn cob holders and a neat outdoor solar light for the both of us. Too cool! John's son came over for dinner and a good time was had by all.
