Willis and I enjoyed a lovely week at Lake Somerville State Park – Birch Creek Unit near College Station, TX, with our friends Bruce and Mary Sue. We hiked, ate, hiked, ate, visited Texas A&M University, hiked and ate some more! I’ve never been on a cruise ship but I have heard that food is tasty and plentiful on sea cruises… by the amount of food we have consumed this last three weeks I guess you could say we went on a “land cruise”!

Lake Somerville State Park is the last stop caravanning with Bruce and Mary Sue as they now prepare to head east. We are going back to the Rio Grande Valley (RGV) for a month to regroup and plan our drive to the Washington D.C. area to visit with Mark and Julia. This upcoming month will allow our mail to catch up with us (it’s been over three weeks since we’ve seen mail), a chance to wash Tiny and Grumbles, try to get our food consumption back in control and socialize with our RV friends in the RGV.

Happy Travels,

Rebecca
