We think this is an old school house on the town square

Have you got your seed potatoes yet?

South Dakota state line

This is a tractor!!!!!

We woke up this morning and it was clear and 37. They are saying a chance of rain but it seemed like it will stay East of us. So we decided to pull out and try to make it on to Yankton, SD. We stopped on the square and ate breakfast at the Corner Cafe. We then walked over to the square where there were tulips blooming and other flowers. They had a snow 2 days ago so the flowers looked a lit bit back. We then walked over to the Hometown Grocery Store on the square. After wondering around looking at the different things like "soup in a bag" and potato bologna. The Soup in a Bag came in flavors like "Loaded Baked Potato Soup" and "Maccaroni and Cheese" and "Mashed Potato". Maybe they weren't all soups but they were in gallon bags that you boil and serve. They had alot of things vacuumed seal. They also had Goat Milk lotion and assorted seed potatoes.

We then walked back to the truck and headed North. The weather cooperated for most of the day until later on then a slight drizzle set in. The road was mostly pretty good except coming into some of the small towns. They are older roads that were made by pouring sections of concrete to create the road. The bad part is they get uneven at the joints and at certain speeds the trailer and truck starts rocking. Outside the towns it seemed that the roads had been ground level. We saw alot of corn fields as we made our way across Nebraska and into South Dakota. Nebraska was really flat and cornfields and everywhere with a feedlot throwed in now and then. The farmers were starting to get their fields ready for planting. Plowing under last years corn stubble.

We arrived at Lake Vermillion and the State Park. We got checked in and waited on our friends to arrive from Wisconsin. We will stay here tonight and then move out in the morning headed to Rapid City to our next park. We will stay there for a few days and check out the area around Mt Rushmore and the place where Custard pissed off the locals, LOL.

Also today is a Very Special Day for my Sister-in-Law, Karen. It is her BIRTHDAY!!!!!! We hope you had a Great Birthday and wish we could have been there to help you celebrate it and maybe a little for the "BACON WRAPPED SHRIMP". LOL Love you, Karen.
