We were really looking forward to a day of rest. Four consecutive days of travel had us completely worn out.
We needed to do laundry and take showers, change the bed linen, and finally, dump the holding tanks.
Our sewer hose had sprung a pin hole leak back in Arizona, so a trip to Walmart allowed us to pick up a brand new sewer hose.
Marilyn has the second load of laundry in now, we are both neat and clean, with most of our chores complete.
The sun is shining outdoors although the breeze is cool.
I must say that it is nice to look out our windows and see trees!
We are a bit tired of dust, sand, rocks and nothing but the side or back of another RV.
Arizona has the best weather we have seen overall, but Llano Grande Resort in Mercedes, Texas, is the best resort we have spent time in during our 6 ½ years of RV travel.
We’ll watch some basketball tonight, get a good night of rest, and be back on the road tomorrow.
The maintenance on our RV begins on Monday morning, so we want to be close to Wheels RV in Springdale, Arkansas, on Sunday night.
That made it easy to select Natural Falls State Park in Oklahoma as a destination for tomorrow. It is only 2 ½ hours away so we shouldn’t be too stressed about that.
Monday morning we’ll drive the 45 minutes on to Springdale.
We may not have internet service at the State Park or in Springdale so don’t be concerned if you don’t see a post from us for a day or two.
I will continue to write and will post the journal entry when we have a chance to do so.
As for today, we relaxed and enjoyed the sunshine, trees and warm weather.
I started Nick Russell’s latest book, “Big Lake Blizzard” and so far it is pretty good. It may be more of a mystery but we’ll have to wait and see. You may download Nick’s books from Amazon.com.
Each of his Big Lake books cost only $2.99 and they are well worth the price.
Give him a try and I think you will be quite happy with his work.
So that is it for today.
Life is Good!
