Day 13 (am temp 35.6)

Monument Valley to Natural Bridges National Monument

Mostly travel day, with a couple pix. Interesting landscape along the way. Recall Larry – Navaho tour guide – telling us that students used to ride the bus all the way from Monument Valley to Blanding to go to school, until a new high school was built on the reservation.

Had to do a little scouting around to find a place to park the trailer, as the “Bridges” CG could only accommodate up to a combined length of only 24 feet - which is about enough room for just the truck.

Best part of the day was the hand-thrown pizza – now don’t get smart, you know what I mean…..Family owned pizza place for 29 years in Monticello. I was there before the “rush”, and the owners’ son was the only one working, so we had a chance to chat a bit.
