Morning on the coast

Sea birds over the RVs

Buc ee's near Luling

March 12, 2013 We woke up on the coast. We didn’t get off until about 11:30 or so. We drove along the coast as long as we could, then headed north and west for Austin. I have no idea what route we took. I just know that we went form one Farm and Ranch Road to the next. We missed our turn about 3 times, turned the wrong way at least twice, and spent more time on teeny country roads than we have in awhile. I could see the richness of this land though and why it was so coveted by the early settlers.

We finally made it out of the farm country and back to places that at least I recognized. We were on our way to drop the RV back at Explore RV for more repairs (it has spent more time there than at our place in Wimberley between trips). We are on a first name basis with the service writer, and we get frequent up dates on how he is building the service department. They are getting lots of practice on our 5th wheel.

On the way to Explore Rv we discovered Bucee’s Now we knew about Buc ee’s from previous experience, but we didn’t know how inexpensive their diesel was. Buc ee’s consistently had the cheapest diesel prices we saw. In fact, at the Buc ee’s in Luling, they had diesel for 3.63—crazy cheap compared to the places around it (3.99, 4.09). THius is my new best place to stop for gas.
