Super Bowl Sunday is one of those days we look forward to for a long time. Even Marilyn gets into the spirit on this day.
After our morning coffee I began fixing a kettle of Southwest Pork, Green Chili Stew, which we enjoy a lot.
The aroma of seasoned pork, onions, garlic, tomatoes, and the various beans simmering in the chicken broth filled the place, making it tempting to taste it while it was cooking.
Not many of our friends here at the resort are football fans so we decided to watch the game with Lee & Betty.
Marilyn fixed a peach cobbler while Betty baked cornbread to go with the stew.
Cold drinks of choice topped it off as game time approached.
We decided to eat and watch the game inside rather than sit outdoors, due to a rain which continued to sprinkle off and on all evening.
At least we were able to keep the windows open and be comfortable.
The game turned out to be a thriller. Congrats to the Baltimore Ravens! We know our friends, Jesse & Ginger were happy with the outcome.
The meal was a hit and the football game was a good one.
Now I think I’ll go off to bed to read for awhile.
