Malagueta Beach 5mins walk from our Apartment

We arrived in Malaga early Sunday evening and didn't get off to a great start as the groundsman directing the plane stopped a metre and a half short of the mark which meant the air bridge could not be lined up to the plane, so we waited on board for about 10mins until they brought some stairs for us to disembark. They then took us by bus and dropped us inside a building where we waited about another 10mins as there was no customs officers there to clear us - apparently we had been dropped at the wrong door!! (Welcome to Spain!!!). Luckily we had pre-booked a pickup so arrived at our apartment safe and sound after receiving a very informative talk on the history, buildings, etc. from our driver. Our apartment is beautiful and compact (bed comes down from the wall), and we have the most beautiful views over the harbour and up to the Castle and Fortress on the hill. There have been several cruise ships here since our arrival.

I think our flights over, and our few busy days in London finally caught up with us and we struggled to get going on our first morning, however we climbed the steep steps from the city and visited the Castle Gibralfaro and Alcazaba where we enjoyed magnificent views over the city.
